Anyone else using rota rb as a winter wheel?
I switched recently to 15s for winter and I cannot get the tpms to train on the wheels. I thought i had faculty sensors. I bought 2 sets anyway so i tested the 2nd set in my hand befire installing. Works fine. Install them, they don't read. Test the 4 sensors that just came out, they work fine.
I can't help but wonder that maybe, possibly, however unlikely it seems, that the rota rb is blocking the signal somehow. I know, sounds ridiculous.

Except that you train the sensors through the tire, not the wheel.

This is how it's always worked on all my other wheels. I tried placing it against the sidewall as well, that didn't work either.

The range on tpms is remarkable. When i switch, if i don't train the new set right away, the old set can still be read in my basement.

The instructions that came with my training device say to hold it against the sidewall near the valve.

Did the battery get weak or die in your training device? I had to replace the battery in mine last fall after 5 years of use.

I thought maybe battery too. But it works just fine on my other wheels.

And super awesome that ford made the programmer thing with an extremely difficult to replace/non replaceable battery.

Difficult? Pop it open and swap the button battery. I don't think Ford made the one I have though. Some Chinesium.

Nope
It's welded in place
Besides, it's clearly not the battery. Works fine with other wheels
