Axel seals.....*&@#@!

I know this is some what of a common issue but my 2016 ST axel seals are leaking on both sides despite replacing them 2x. I had Ford take a look at it and they said there was "scoring" on the gears and that the entire transmission needs to be replaced for $6k! Sounds like BS to be the car only has 40,000 miles. Anyone else have issues with both seals leaking and how did you resolve it?

The people who replaced the seals ..has it been the same place both times? If yes...go to a new Shop. i've done mine and have never had them leak again.

Yes, my local Ford replaced them everytime

The permanent fix would be RTV on the mating surface of the axle seal with the transmission. Try Boosted Garage in Hemet if you're nearby.

This. It's the only way to do it where you don't have to do it again. My buddy (who was the previous owner of this car) did the axle seals at 133k, and he made sure to use RTV, and they haven't even done as much as seep since then, and I'm now at 171k.

At this point I will give that a shot.
