I know it's still early but what day and time is everyone planning to be in Texarkana? It's about 4 to 4 1/2 hour drive from Texarkana to Memphis. I was going to suggest we either say meeting in Texarkana Thurs. p.m. or Early Fri. morning so we can roll in to Memphis and get our cars cleaned up before everything starts Friday evening.

Ok since they Asked and I accepted the Car and My party and DHM will be going to this little event ;)
They asked you? DHM or STFest?

Either way, I wish you (or Russ, as I assume he'll be the driver) luck in challenging the fastest FoST. I think it'll be a drivers race for sure. I think it would be pretty epic to see the FiST win because butts will be hurt all over the place.

They asked me Via a email to The forum boss Zach to which i replied. And I went to DHM he took it from there and I will not be doing the 1/4 mile stuff but that AutoX I gotta take a few liks at that .. By then it may not be the fastest badest as it is all the way into august so lots of time to catch up and go gib :) but it should be a fun time .. lots to learn and lots to do..

Interesting perspective of the events, but that's neither here nor there.

I'm definitely interested in seeing how it stacks up against the main Panda FoST, which is over 500 whp now iirc (OEM rods finally let go, got all-new built internals). One of the event organizers texted me while I was at a beer-tasting event Saturday to get my bench-racing opinion and I told him that it's very much a drivers race because I haven't seen any FoST post a slip faster than the slips posted by Russ.

The fastest slips of each car are within a few hundredths and location/time can always be argued, but having both at the same track and same time will definitely equalize the discussion. There are already quite a few people talking about it, tbh. I think a win by the FiST would do a great job of shutting up the stage 3 FoST owners that seem to be of the opinion that FiST owners only buy the car because they can't afford the FoST.

Regardless of the final outcome, this is definitely going to be the highlight of the year within the ST communities and a source of ammo for all future FiST/FoST arguments, lol.

Agreed it will be fun infact I wasnt even planning on going till they ask and I figured DHM put a lot of work into this and it sure does look pretty may as well show it off though that is not why I had it built. I had other reasons for wanting more power up on the top end. I am not sure if the car will be much batter on a autoX course if it is tight. But thats all in the fun of the event let people see the DHM artwork and show what a poopy driver i really am at the AutoX track LOL its all good fun ..

Lol for sure.

Tom and Ben are great guys and we all look forward to this years event. There was a huge turnout of FoST's last year (I think 50-60%) so hopefully this years' sales of FiST's may result in more being present.

So 50-60% is the FoST ratio to total over all reg car that showed up or 50 -60 of all the FoST made ;) what was the final number for total cars that showed up if you recall if not the exact number a ballpark will do just curious. :)

I was there the last two years and they average well over 150 cars. Lots of Focus ST last year.

Ok thanks that's a pretty cool turnout then but not unmanagable ;)
Its very well managed and the team does a great job. If you count all the other Ford vehicles in attendance its more close to 400 cars total.

This. Usually there are 150-200 Focus models alone, and it's generally held in conjunction with another show. Now that we're expanding to include the FiST, it might be an interesting bump in numbers. This should be a really exciting year; there are a lot of people already hyped up about it simply due to a mesh of communities that were previously divided-let alone the FiST/FoST relationship.

For those that have gone in the past, does MIR allow coolers in the car show area? Their webpage says no coolers, no outside food, etc. but that sounds nuts.
