When you say Ford Fiesta in the United States, I think this is what people's mind's eye goes back to... except beat up and rusty...

...that said, there are PLENTY of AMC Gremlins (that look very similar) modified into race cars.

That is definitely hilarious.
I know the comedian is putting on a show there, but I feel like people in general don't take the Fiesta seriously for real, even other car people. Maybe it's those 80s Fiestas maybe it's the fact that it's car called a Fiesta... who knows.

^^^True, but the car IS a party on wheels, so Ford was not too far out of line with the name. [thumb]

Ironically, (and directly contrary to the 'populist'/masses'/elitist enthusiasts' thoughts) even the base car of our gen car proves the platform is quite capable, as demonstrated by WannabeST on here. [wink] [driving]

OUR CARS are the ANSWER to that saying: "When you Know, You Know"
I love driving my car every time I get into the drivers seat! The sound of the exhaust as I'm winding through the gears makes people look for some Ferrari or Porsche and makes me GRIN like a MF!!

I think one of the funniest things about this is that the clip he posted doesn't even cover half of the jokes he made. He apologized for going so hard on me and then I said it was cool I went to laugh and he kept on going for another 4-5 minutes. He even kept mentioning fiestas in other peoples jokes. It was a great night. That was my second time seeing Michael live. I'll be back to more

Yup friends Mom owned one we got air over a rise in it . 😂 I wound up owning a 79 and a 80 when I lived in San Francisco in the early 90’s. They were fun and broke engine mounts all the time ( some things never change with Fords) . That comedy bit was hilarious Wannabe we should meet up some time.Next time we do a local get together come out man.

Oh, that is awesome!
And I can relate... I give tours at the Petersen Museum in L.A. on weekends. After talking about priceless classics and race cars, someone will, without fail, ask me "So, you must have an awesome car... what do you drive, a Ferrari?" I love answering "A Ford Fiesta."

I get laughs, quizzical looks, but someone will always add "So... you must have an ST, right? Cool."

you should see the faces of people when their instructor has a sub 100 hp car lol.
At a charity event I went to just over a month ago, It was a lot of 6 figure cars. No on wanted to be instructed by the guy in the economy car.
That changed after lunch when I was setting lap times ahead of them lol. Everyone wanted my instructor friend in his camaro right away in the morning haha.

IF they are that snooty/uppity in their 'rolling Rolex' automotive status mindset, I am surprised that they even wanted an f body driver as their instructor.

Although yes, a properly set up late model Camaro, driven to perfection, could very easily embarrass those high zoot megabuck rides with the 'wrong' driver behind the wheel.

My wife and I keep threatening to visit the Museum. Maybe we'll see you there one of these days.
