How long can she live at this power level? Must be a hoot when it hooks. The more power I made the more I hated FWD. Swapping to an LSD trans and hoping for some usable traction in the at least 2nd gear.
There are a lot of people on the FB groups that have big turbos and well over 400hp and have been there for a while. It's my understanding the big thing is limiting the torque in the lower RPMs, especially with a S280. The torque on mine you see in that graph is quite a bit lower than what it's capable of. It's limited for safety.

I have an MFactory LSD. I never had problems with grip on 3rd gear pulls before the dyno tune. I now sometimes briefly spin midway through a 3rd gear pull before gaining traction again. It pulls so hard it's insane, especially compared to stock lol

I've actually never really done a 2nd gear pull. I like to have my tires last lol...I've gotten on it once or twice a bit before and spun a little bit.

I'm on 205 wide extremecontact sport 02 tires installed this past spring. Now only have a couple thousand miles on them.

If I'm trying to get in front of a car at a stop light is when the lower gear traction issue become an irritant or at the drag strip. I have MPH to run 11's, but traction for the 13's. Lol

good tires in 225+ wide, LSD, bracing, lower tire pressure, maybe some other things, all help. There are people with higher HP than me and running 11s and 12s, so it's not impossible.

Oh, I know that. On a prepped surface and drag radial, LSD you can catch a 1.8 60ft maybe 1.7. Street is where it really sucks. That all may help some on an unprepped surface. Just the nature of FWD. Encouraging knowing guys running 400+ with some luck for a period of time. I blew a head gasket at around 360whp. One of the Cam gears got stuck in the advanced position during a pull and timing was way too high and probably lifted the head a bit. It's still drivable, you just can't give it much boost or it'll push coolant.
