I was reading about this before I picked mine up and wondering if my car would be affected.

It looks like mine was built after the time frame that the bad relays were being installed. Whew!

Thanks for the heads up Zombiexpandas! +1 rep

Wonder if this is why my AC does not cool when stopped in traffic on hot days.

I'd recommend going to your dealer with the service bulletin printed out and let them know the issues you're experiencing.

I've scheduled the appt. for next week....In the meantimme, I'll just have to watch the temps on the AP and use the defroster to manually control the radiator fan.

Nice, mines in the range so I'll ask when I take it in for a oil change in a few months

Got the car back and the engine fan runs now. Car never got over 194 ? F sitting and AC running. The dealership changed the relay as part of 16B11 and also changed the blower motor relay. IDK, but it works.

My 2015 stock Fiesta ST has been overheating and suffering from these exact problems. Mine was built in August 2014. Im hoping this applies to my car also.

my car's built date is in Sept 15, its a 16 model, I purchased it in May 16, do you think the dealer would have done this already?

OTOH it seems they took apart the center console before in my car, possible for some other TSB with the climate control.. (they couldnt put a panel back in correctly... but luckily im fairly handy and took care of it myself lol).

Would they already be making 2016 models on January 22, 2015? I have a very early 2015 model that was built 4th month of 2014. At that time the 2015 owners manual wasn't in print yet. The copy that came with the car had DRAFT watermarked on every page.

In this case VIN's are a better clue than build date.

2016 fiesta st recall ?

I went to the dealer to see if there was any recalls on my car and they looked up my vin number and they said no ! How do I know I'm clear on the relay fan ?

Just got this done yesterday as I lost my fans last weekend. Was in and out in 45mins. Make sure you go get this checked out even if you haven't got the letter in the mail yet!
