Over the last month I've noticed that my Fiesta's paint is getting non-awesome. Well the paint is awesome but the slick glass show-car feeling is gone because it has about 12 coats of various wax/polish on it. Time to clay bar again.
I've gotten good at this, it's a few hours of work but the results are amazing. The pictures don't do it justice. The car is so smooth and so slick it's amazing.
For those new to clay bars, the idea is that the clay bar is used along with a lubricant to remove wax and really any contaminants off of the paint and clear coat. At that point the car is "dull" - it's shiny still but the paint is not slick at all, zero beading of water. Then you apply polish and wow the car pops and is so smooth.
Here are a few pictures of my results from today.
