Most of those eBay units say they are bar and plate construction, including the one I bought so maybe it's not identical to the Mishimoto unit in spite of the fact that they look the same.
I looked a little closer and there are visible differences between the Mishimoto units and the eBay ones.

Anyone else have any good results with this intercooler?

Actually just finished installing one today.
The packaging could have been better, and instructions would have been nice, but the quality was great, It was what I would have expected from a name brand. It took minor tweaking, but didn't need to cut out anything.
I still need to re-flash to Cobb stg II. Not sure I felt any actually noticeable difference, but it did feel more capable and certainly didn't reduce the performance.

Absolutely, my pleasure.
I loaded the stage II flash today as all has gone well after the install.
She rips. It might not look like a massive jump on paper, and I'm sure there are better tunes that the OTS Cobb stage II, but the car feels perfect. I wasn't expecting it to throw me to the back of the seat a little bit :D

I've often heard over the years that the same factories that manufacture original products, also create unbranded clones "after hours". lol I'm not a credible source as to that, but that was my assumption and took a chance.
Obviously, no expectation of a warranty, even if claimed, customer support, let alone instructions lol, but the price was right.

I'm quite happy with mine so far, but a tune for it makes a massive difference. it's been so much fun to drive. Good luck!
