Wastegate is a very likely fault, carbon build up could easily hold the flap open enough, boost solenoid could also affect it but doesn't seem likely if you get boost up top 🤷🏼♂️

i also lack full boost up top in lower gears, almost like the car has "boost-by-gear" (make like 20 psi in 3rd, 24psi in 6th). replacing the solenoid didn't fix the issue, it only made it worse. i ended up putting the old solenoid back on

175k miles on this OE turbo & downpipe probably won't let me just "pop it off", i'm gonna replace the turbo since i have everything BUT the turbo itself to do the job

Yeah it never goes that easy🤣 I've been keeping my eye out, there's a ST on Copart, with 93k. Currently at $175... Heavy side damage so good for stripping, no Recaros though it is white lol
