I am having "turbo lag" but WGDC even with my tuner was at 99% so I'm not sure what to do there... maybe wastegate is stuck open a part amount?
Wastegate is a very likely fault, carbon build up could easily hold the flap open enough, boost solenoid could also affect it but doesn't seem likely if you get boost up top 🤷🏼‍♂️

i also lack full boost up top in lower gears, almost like the car has "boost-by-gear" (make like 20 psi in 3rd, 24psi in 6th). replacing the solenoid didn't fix the issue, it only made it worse. i ended up putting the old solenoid back on

I'm surprised it made it worse🤔 pop off the down pipe and inspect the flapper, maybe even reset/increase preload on the flapper as well

175k miles on this OE turbo & downpipe probably won't let me just "pop it off", i'm gonna replace the turbo since i have everything BUT the turbo itself to do the job

Yeah it never goes that easy🤣 I've been keeping my eye out, there's a ST on Copart, with 93k. Currently at $175... Heavy side damage so good for stripping, no Recaros though it is white lol

there's a guy on Facebook that my friend found that is selling a 45k mile turbo w manifold and whoosh elbow, but is in Ohio so I would have to get it shipped, might just wait around to find something even lower mile since the dealer quoted me $1,645.45 for a new kp39

Depending on shipping that could be a great deal, and yeah might as well go hybrid at that price and save $100
