Cold Air Intake question

Hey everyone, just a quick question that i think I know the answer to but I want to make sure. I recently installed a new COI in my FIST and it's black I am tossing the idea around of taking it out and painting the intake tube red to match the oil catch can lines that I have. Will i be fine to do so as long as I use a high temperature spray paint?

You can find high temp engine enamels just about anywhere. Just be sure to spend your time prepping for paint.
