Not exactly an ST but I am replacing a IB5 gearbox on a 1.6 Fiesta Mk7 Zetec engine to a IB6 gearbox. I hav made the flywheel but I noted there is no bush to support the gearbox input shaft in the crankshaft hole at the flywheel attachment flange. Does the gearbox input shaft even reach the crankshaft and inserts into the end of the crankshaft?
Any help here would be appreciated as I did not notice one when I removed the IB5 gearbox. The IB6, from an ST180, fits ok but I am not sure whether the gearbox shaft needs a supporting bush in the end of the crankshaft. Does anyone know whether a bush exists or is the gearbox input shaft self supporting?
Thanks in advance.

Looks like a gasket. Part number 7048. Should be right behind the slave.

No Pilot bearing is used if that's what you are concerned about.

Thanks Sekred, Thanks for confirming that there is no pilot bearing. It did not look as though one was fitted.

Cheers
