Hi! My name is Shalene, I am from California and I have been driving a FiST for going on 5 months. When I was 18 I got into a pretty bad car accident and was fearful of driving for many years. Eight years ago I bought my first stick shift, a Hyundai Accent Hatchback. Learning how to drive it restored my confidence on the road and ignited a passion for driving I never expected.

A couple years ago I decided I wanted my next car to have a little power and I loved the idea of driving a hot hatch, so when the time came I decided to test drive a Fiesta ST. The drive was so smooth, I knew right away I wanted to take it home. Driving is my meditation, so I guess you could say my FiST is my temple.

I'm a Rally fan and I love Gymkhana, and I have dreamed about taking a racing course but they are so expensive I could not justify it. I am happy to say I will be attending the ST Octane Academy in Utah next Summer. I am so excited! [rofl] Did any of you go this year? Will any of you go next year?

Overall, I am happy with my ST. I do sometimes regret not going crazy with the options. I am STILL agonizing over the red brake calipers and Recaro seats...[?|] But hey. The driving experience has been great, I am having a lot of fun and I am excited to meet and learn from other FiST owners and enthusiasts. I welcome any knowledge you're willing to pass on. Thanks!

welcome

the only must have for me was NO sunroof
I have red calipers but don't really care all that much since they will be swapped out at some point and for as much as I like the look of the Recaro's especially the orange one's, my butt is just a wee bit too big for them to fit comfortably so it's not a deal breaker for me. I could fit but not a comfortably as I'd prefer.

anyway, enjoy and once again welcome!
