Put my name on the roster for ASAP! March 31-April 1st!

The trucking company I drive for is located 25 miles from Toole, in West Valley City, UT. They are looking for drivers as well and are willing to train. Just throwing that out there. Its a great company to work for. I wouldn't drive for any other company OTR.

You guys are confusing the

"ST Octane Academy" actual Racing School held at Ford Racing School, which is at Miller Motorsports Park. It isn't moving. This is the COMPLEMENTARY racing school where you race on a proper track and it's a full day and evening reception thing. For ST owners ONLY. Noone but the ST owner will drive any of the ST cars even if you buy the upgrade package.

Then there is "ST Performance Academy", which is the little autocross thingie at the Ford EcoBoost Challenge Ride-n-Drive event. You will be in and out in a couple hours. This is free. Anyone can do it.
You guys had Charlotte, NC 4/18/2014 and 4/19/2014
then you had Miami 4/26/2014 and then you had Orlando 5/03/2014.... you still have a shot at Columbus OH 6/14/14 and Chicago 6/14/14 and Indianapolis 7/19/14
I consider those "east coast"

I'm not confusing anything,I mean I wish they had a corresponding academy on the east coast. I can't get to Utah.

It wasn't exactly the cheapest thing to drive there from Los Angeles and get hotel rooms either you know.

there's only one ford racing school location for everybody, boss, fiesta, focus
I am happy to have it at all

Just registered for July 21-22. I met another fiesta ST owner at santa anita from san diego that said he would be going the same dates so maybe we will remember each other. I am planning on flying out with the GF for the weekend and she can go back to LA on sunday. Anyone stay at their suggested hotel? (http://www.stoctaneacademy.com/more/plan-your-stay) or is there a better place to stay?

I stayed at Hyatt place with my homie Kevin in a 2 queen room.

holy shit that place was huge. It was literally the size of a decent 1 bedroom apartment. HUGE living room, massive TV with aux inputs. BUY BEER BEFORE YOU GET TO UTAH - THE BOOZE IN UT IS EXPENSIVE AND SUCKS. Clean, pleasant, very good size continental breakfast with lots of hot and cold food options, fresh cooked food, fruits, veggies, starbucks expresso bar in lobby. generally a nice place to stay. be advised the goddamn sprinklers will SPOT THE HELL out of your car so bring a cover or wax the hell out of it before parking there.

I still need to claybar to get rid of the last of the spots. I dunno if they enrich the water with calcium or what but it sucked and did not easily come off.

Yeah, that was probably me from Carlsbad. Going up for those two days and taking two days to get there via some day hiking at Zion and/or Bryce on the way up [not to mention the nice two lane roads in those areas of Utah]. :)

This perhaps falls into the "stating the obvious" category, but a tip for those considering a hotel in Park City, site of the reception and Ken Block's garage visit the evening before the track day: Park City is a decent drive from SLC and Tooele, so plan on an hour-plus for the drive down if you stay in PC the night before.

Going by Google Maps, it's just over an hour. Granted, YMMV, but a Google Maps time is something many of us can relate to.
