Hello FiST family,

Hopefully you'll let me hang out with you guys! I am a happy owner of a 2015 Fiesta ST, which will be my new daily for the next few months. I also own a 2017 Focus RS, which I bought new and have enjoyed immensely. Unfortunately, I had a minor electrical issue which I could not resolve on my own, so I took the RS to a local (seemingly reputable) electronics specialist shop, and they ALSO immensely enjoyed my car. As in, used it as a personal vehicle, joy-rode it, and ran the wrong fuel in the car while unplugging my ethanol sensor, which has caused some serious engine damage that is now being reviewed... Hence the need for a new daily. So, in the meantime, FiST it is!

The FiST is bone stock minus some 16" Enkei's wrapped in decent 205 Yok's that came on the car.

I'm going to try my best to keep it mostly stock, at least until the RS is also back up and running. I don't need TWO projects! So far, I have only ordered some basic necessities like new bulbs, new shift knob, Symposer delete kit, RMM and motor mount inserts, pedal spacer (had to rebuild the pedal box in the RS as well!), and other small items. I MAY move back to some lightweight 17s just for aesthetics (yes, I know it'll be a bit heavier than the current setup) and will likely do a basic exhaust just for the noise.

For anyone interested in the FoRS, here's a quick mod list:
  • ETS FMIC and charge pipes
  • Turbosmart VTA BOV and BRA, deleted OEM Boost Solenoid
  • Mountune intake elements and SSC
  • Milltek catless DP and non-res catback
  • XDI EVO HPFP and 2000lb injectors
  • Zeitronix flex fuel kit and in-line ECA (running full e85)
  • Radium baffle plate, dual catch-can setup, and high-flow fuel filter
  • JBR Shift kit and full shifter bushings
  • Goodridge stainless brake lines, Hawk pads (street) GLoc R12/16s (track)
  • Whiteline race springs, retaining OEM adjustable dampers
  • Whiteline rear sway bar (OEM front)
  • Pictured on FC04 18x9 et40s, running 255/35s
  • Full FSPE Aero kit (chassis mounted front splitter, flat belly pan, chassis mounted diffuser, side skirts)
  • Epsilon+ CF gurney flap
  • Schroth QuickFit harness system
  • Custom Sparco pedals and pedal riser

Congratulations and welcome, the car is a ton of fun. Are you sure that your car is not a 2016? That looks like Kona Blue, the color I have on my 2016, and which was only available for that model year.
That's very upsetting what happened to your other car, I'd be mad as hell.
Here's a picture of mine for comparison-

Congrats and welcome. I’ve driven my buddy’s FoRS and it’s definitely a blast and a more refined vehicle, but I think you’ll find the FiST settling in a special place in your heart if you’re like the rest of us! I hope you’re able to get the RS back up and running.

best bang for the buck mod for these cars is the Mountune tune for $99 - safe, lots of midrange, still good mileage. Been running it on mine for a while, really nice improvement in the power profile. Guy who made it is still active i nthe community under his own shingle - Tunewerks. Also a few other vendors offer similar tunes, such as Dizzy.

Hate to hear that about the RS. Running alt fuel is a gamble when getting service done sometimes as some people are just assmonkeys with other people's gear unfortunately. I run E-30 in my RS, so nobody works on it but me. Bright side is there are still several vendors doing engines for the RS, so can get some stronger stuff if needed, and take full advantage of that E85.

To me, the Fiesta is the Jack Russell terrier of cars.....can we go, can we go , CAN WE GO?????

RS is like a Doberman, all calm and collected until it decides to grab you and shake the shit out of you, just because it can.

Yeah the lesson here is, if at all possible, return to stock or a "fuel safe" tune. They're required to test drive them and not necessarily to any prescribed degree.
I had an 88HP vehicle that was joy-ridden by a service tech so unfortunately there is no vehicle that is immune to bafoonish behavior.
Lojack and monitor vehicle travel may help catch the act early on... though not necessarily before damage is done.
