Has anyone run the stock downpipe without the heatshield?

Has anyone run the stock downpipe without the heatshield? If you have did it cause damage to anything in the surrounding areas?

I have for a while, it’s been fine. I have my crossover pipe wrapped with the gold tape because I couldn’t get the shield back into place

Awesome, thank you! I have a hard pipe from Cobb so my bigger concern was just electronics, plastics and the cowling

Yes DON'T DO IT. It melted my alternator wires.
