Help me with where this wire goes? And what is this part name?

Just bought a 2016 and found this a week later not sure what it is or where it goes should I be worried? Should I not drive the car untill fixed?

I think that it is "hood ajar" switch. You have any lights on your dash?

I rebuilt a salvage car as well, a few on here gave done so. Unplug that sensor from the broken piece and see what happens.

I know there are two crash sensors on the front crash beam, but I'll look at my 2019 shortly and report back.

Ok for sure thanks for the info guys! I really appreciate it I thought it was like something for the airbag I was afraid to unplug it, hence didn’t want it blowing up in my face hahaha
