Maybe I've gone insane. I really like the idea of hearing the engine in the cabin without having to be one of those guys that disturbs the entire neighborhood when I come home late at night. I own this car for me, not for random passersby. Am I being too selfish? [hihi] If we had the kind of thing that some other cars have, where it's a sampled sound coming through the speakers I'd pull that shit right out, but this is your actual engine sound piped right into the cabin, and I think it sounds really good.

Am I the dark horse here?

Not alone i actually like it as well. Especially when using air con and the windows are up. Likely the same in winter for me. And i agree since it is not a synthesized speaker sound but a engine diaphragm itis more true.

I don't mind it, but only with a bit of muffling added to it. It was too harsh to me and made some of my interior panels rattle when it was OEM. Now it's noticeable but not overbearing. I much more prefer the electronic version available on the FoST.

Honestly it was too overbearing for me. Seemed like when given just the slightest throttle it just drones on in the cabin. I pulled the hose off of it and it took a while to get used to its absence. A sound symposer delete later and now its just a paper weight around the house.

I like the sound too and it's not a fake sound so I'm leaving it. Though I don't think I hear it anymore :(

I preferred it until I put my exhaust on. After that it sounded like two sounds fighting with each other.

Does removing the symposer tamper with the performance or and warranty?

performance: No. It is just a diaphragm(like drum) that pushes sound into the cabin. What is being done is the hose is blocked and removed.

Warranty: can easily be reinstalled.

I have always liked the symposer, even now with the Cobb exhaust. Just another dimension of cool sounds to hear when getting on it.

The Sound Symposer is badass. I don't understand why people remove it. Sometime I just think people need every mod available. If they made a window up/down button delete someone out there would buy it and list it in their signature...

I had no issue with the sound symposer with a stock exhaust, I actually enjoyed it. Catless turboback exhaust has rendered it useless.

I like it - being older, I know the value of silence when doing stupid things in cars. I only care what I hear when I'm behind the wheel :D

I removed it as another potential place to develop an boost leak in the diaphragm.

Since the only loud noises under acceleration I heard on my past vehicles was bad exhaust, I like this sound!

Well I have to say I might have to reverse my statement of liking the sound symposer. It sounded great with the stock exhaust but I feel it it "dueling" with the aftermarket exhaust (Mountune Catback). Based on that I may delete it. Something to consider in the future.

That is the plan to troll and wait. I may do a diy for a quick test.

We just need to convince DHM or Boomba to have a Canadian thanksgiving sale on their deletes next weekend just for us. ;)
