Playing with forscan lite to reset steering, I ran the "reset all adaptations" function. Now the car won't do anything. No key function, no dome light, no clicks, noises, nothing.

It will react to the lock button on the fob woth a weak horn honk, but not the lock button on dash. Hatch will open, and cigarette lighter port is powered.

No fucking clue what happened here or what I need to do to fix it. And it needs fixed ASAP as im in thrash mode getting prepped for an event....

Help!!!!

I'd urge you to post on a ForScan forum for a better response.

I have very little experience with ForScan, so take this with a grain of salt. I plugged some of what you wrote into Duck.AI and here is what it spit out:

Since it’s a 2016 Fiesta ST manual and won’t start after “reset all adaptations,” most likely causes and steps:
Likely causes
  • Immobilizer/key transponder adaptation cleared (key not recognized → crank/no-start or starter disabled).
  • ECU lost learned idle/throttle/immobilizer parameters causing crank/no-start.
  • Fuel/ignition adaptations cleared but less likely to prevent cranking — more an immobilizer issue.
Immediate checks (do these first)
  1. Confirm starter cranks. If it doesn’t crank, check battery voltage and starter/solenoid connections.
  2. If it cranks but won’t fire: check for spark and fuel:
    • Spark: remove an ignition coil/plug, ground the plug and crank to see a visible spark.
    • Fuel: listen for the fuel pump prime when you turn the key to ON (a few seconds). Check fuel pressure at rail if you can.
  3. Check dash for immobilizer/key or security lamp (blinking/solid). Any security message?
Quick remedies to try
  1. Use each programmed key — try spare key(s). If one works, immobilizer cleared for that key only.
  2. Cycle ignition: key Off → remove key for 5–10 minutes → reinsert and try start.
  3. Lock/unlock with remote or key fob to wake modules, then try starting.
  4. If you have FORScan, check for BCB/BAP/PCM immobilizer-related codes and read SRS/BCM modules for security status.
If immobilizer suspected and key not recognized
  • Re-learn keys: on many Fords the dealer or a capable scan tool is needed to reprogram transponder to PATS/BCM/PCM. FORScan with appropriate adapters and paid plugins can perform key programming on some models — if you can access FORScan now, check the PATS/IMMO functions.
  • If you do not have the tool or it fails, you’ll need dealer or locksmith with Ford-compatible key programming.
If it’s not immobilizer (cranks but no start, and you have spark and fuel)
  • Check engine codes with scanner; look specifically for PCM/engine-sensing faults (crankshaft position, cam position sensors).
  • Perform basic sensor checks: crankshaft position sensor signal, camshaft position, and fuel injectors energizing.
Next step recommendation
  • If you see an immobilizer/security warning or neither key starts: contact dealer or locksmith for PATS key reprogramming (or use FORScan PATS re-learn if you have the paid plugin and adapter).
  • If no immobilizer indication but no spark/fuel, get a diagnostic scan for codes and test crank/cam signals or bring to a technician.

Facebook group led me in the right direction. Apparently I had the door open long enough after not driving it a few weeks to kill the battery as a coincidental failure.
