Yes I do know what you mean :). The sad thing is that when you have people who insult mistakes or shut down ideas, it slowly stops a forum community from going because people will quit sharing ideas out of fear of being insulted or nonsense. They will just take their ideas somewhere else where the are accepted.

Now back on track, lol
Yeah, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink or is it think ?

So a good development buddy of mine and myself sat down looked at logs drop the car and unless there is a magic behind the scenes PID table or added then its done and maxed out. So i will be turning it down to were it is drivable and i hope these logs and graphs become useful later down the road for other people as i know it served perfect for the test i was running.

Razor was leaning towards VE tables as a way to help fueling.
Russ, i need to send you my logs and tune. With 4 mids and xmas, I have not even pulled the logs from the track event. Wonder if I have a log from the axle breaking, lol.

I've only looked at access tuner to help a friend and V-dyno to make a joke over the last 2 weeks.

First time reading this thread, I really much appreciate all the great info from all parties and the civility shown, this is how things work for the best, thank you very much:)

----------------------

Any chance another step can be added in here to fill a void not really being addressed that well it seems. We have stock and we have Cyborg but not much in the next level up, a nice streetable bigger turbo option that does not cost a fortune and is FULLY sorted out so OTS or a relatively easy custom tune can be done?

For us into autocross, rally cross, time trials, back roads runs and go get the groceries, haul the dogs, go site seeing.....?

I would imagine a bigger market for that than a really big turbo, which is exciting of course to see what can be done with this little engine, but if you are not into it then we have to accept that as well.

------------------

Thanks, looking forward to the progress on the stock and big turbo as well of course:)

Rick

Here is what i'm worries about.... I'm done on E30. E40 means i run lean. If I were to flow more power via a bigger turbo, that would mean i'd be forced to run even less ethanol. I'd prob be stuck running normal ole E15 93oct from the pump and any E85 would mean I'd be out of fuel and i'd have to reduce the timing greatly due to the lack of E85. Of course... I could buy E0 or E15 100oct or higher gas, which would give me the timing back, but it would cost $8-$14 per gallon.

Right now... With the cyborg, I'm making as much power as E30 is going to allow me to make fuel wise ( more could prob be had with a better tuner using the same AFR/fuel mixture I'm using now ), but lets say I installed a bigger compressor wheel than the cyborg currently uses. Then what ? Now I can't move enough E30 to keep up. I reduce the octane to 93oct and I lose power. I end up with a bigger turbo making the same power, unless I spend $8+ per gal.

We'll never know until someone upgrades the stock fuel system in someway... Or starts pushing the tail pressure above 2700psi where I'm at.

I haven't seen anyone yet... If they are, they are not on the forums. I wish someone would make the leap to the GT2560

I am considering the GT2560, like the EFR 6258 as a better turbo but looks like just to big for my needs, one very knowledgable tuner recommened the GT2554 with the .82 A/R but it might not be best for someones goals.....

I am holding off until I am back from two road trips in a row and some weather good enough to finish my E30 tune, which I might do on the second trip as heading to CA and might take the car instead of the dually...I want to see how this runs well tuned at sea level on E30, I might not want or need more power than the Cyborg gives me:)

And I am waiting to see what happens with this fuel delivery issue, it would be great if a higher pressure pump in the tank was enough to help the HPFP on the engine deliver more fuel, it is normally not to bad a job to install one. OR, somebody makes a mod kit for the HPFP to deliver a bit more pressure, if possible.
