$189, made for Miata so no cutting the supports under the hood but I am ok with doing so on my stock hood already drilled for hood pins.

I can see if they will just sell the two outer ones instead of all three parts and will look at the NB and NC Miata versions a bit closer.

I would also do a cleaner looking wickerbill with curved ends, easy mod.

I want to get a vented CF hood but with buying it, shipping, painting, it get's pretty costly and I am retired but if I sell more stuff before long I might get one anyway, I could always sell the vents if I swap to the CF hood.

Not really digging the little middle louver, but the two side ones would look great if lined up on our hood right.

I do not like the little one either.

They have a different style with wider ones that I am looking at but none of the pictures really show them well enough.

If I did this I would bond them from the inside with urethane windshield sealer using a bolt that has a very flat round head, I forget what they are called, no bolts sticking out beside them.

I can mount the wickerbills from underneath as well, then use the trim for the holes in the hood, would look really clean.

These would flow a lot of air:)

I have not heard back from the manufacturer about possibly a custom setup made for us or just buying two of the three sections.

I am going to see how my major cooling mods work out first when the weather warms up then decide if I need to try a set of these.

Makes sense. Based upon the location of components under the hood, it seems like the best location to keep water out of electronics would be the center of the hood. On the right side is the alternator and accessory belt, and on the left side is the battery and ECU. The middle, though, is just the cosmetic engine cover.

They sure have a lot of sizes and I have always liked hood lovers, especially when put right into the stock sheetmetal, old school look....:)

A couple of observations, thoughts, etc....

1) be careful not to mount to far back as if get into the low pressure area near the base of the windshield loose effectiveness, might be good to do a string test and video it.

2) prices seem pretty steep for a piece of stamped aluminum, producing the dies does cost a bit I am sure but once done the cost of material and time to stamp them would be very low.

Here are some I found on Ebay just now, aluminum, just $69 pr.

Another set in steel, just $35 pr.

I just use old AC vents that I stole from meth heads in the trailer park up the road from me. They even have a valve for closing them when its raining !!
