Well here is what LEDS look like.....

Here's the stock Halogens.....

Notice with the LEDs the concentration of light in the center vs the halogens....just food for thought for those who want a change.

Wow, something even worse than the stock halogens... holy crap I didn't think it could be possible [dunno]

You should list which ones these are so people can stay away. The only one that might work ok are the Philips ones.

I guess maybe you should buy the other ones and see how better they are....I will say out in a completely dark area the LED have more of a concentrated beam than the halogens. Instead of ripping on someone's dare to try something you should put your little toque on and stfu if you haven't got anything nice to say eh. Read my quote at the bottom also.

Oh and by the way shooter....that's are the ones with the phillips LEDS in them.

Got them used on here. Original owner was unhappy with them haha

I'm pretty sure they came from xenon depot though
Got the aluminum cooling ribbons on yours? I bought opt7 ones with fans on them at first....wouldn't fit...imagine that....then found xenondepot. I'd say they were a decent purchase and I wasn't let down.

Yup those are the ones I have

I think they are great. Great output for the price, gotta love how they instantly come on compared to a 5sec warm up HID

The ad says the cleanest cutoff, but the output on the garage door is significantly worse than the halogen despite the fact that the car is closer. I'll pass.

Sorry eh, no need to get so butt-hurt... These really are pretty terrible, I'm sorry eh that you can't see that but I hope you'll take note that the foreground light (that is useless light) is far too intense, you have lost all of your width lighting, and your hotspot looks very odd as it should be focused directly ahead and right at the cutoff (not a big lopsided rectangle). These are all signs of a poor product or application. Its unfortunate that you spent money, I would recommend taking at look at the HIDPlanet forums and reading up on current technology and getting ideas whether HID, LED, or improved Halogen.

I notice you mention that you used HIDs in your typhoon? You did that without a projector? Well I can see you unfortunately haven't been exposed to good lighting yet then, so you might see these are being "good" but its far from that in fact. Just trying to help, but unless you do a retrofit with a projector you should pick up a set of the GE/Phillips/TruckLite LED 5x7 sealed beams and you will get a much better lamp overall.

FYI, I won't be buying any of the LED bulbs because they are all pretty bad at this point, and because the Fiesta headlights are already a poor performer I have everything ready and waiting to retrofit some Murano and Corolla LED projectors into mine to get actual improved lighting, so we will see how that works out.

Good luck out there eh. You can buy projector style lamps in a 5x7. Like I said maybe you should go buy some and also there is no room here for butt hole play as you suggested ....But remember to go nowhere in life....follow the crowd. You have to take risks to find good products. You seem worry to much about piddly crap and like to sit on the sidelines and not chance anything. Life to short Der bud... Don't forget to take er out Fer a rip bud!

I just got a pair of the EVO LED bulbs. I'm just wondering where you fit the ballast (if that's what's it's called).

Got any pics of the installed bulb?

http://www.xenondepot.com/9011-LED-headlight-kit-p/9011-led-hl.htm

These are the exact bulbs I bought....the little box that is in line with the connector fit right in the inside of the headlamp assembly. It fit perfect....even with the splaying of the aluminum cooling ribbon spread out as required.

I got mine from Diode Dynamics and like them a lot; however, the fog lamps didn't match so I also got the DD fog lamp assembly and the switchback turn signal lights so now all match up front - bright white. Also did the tail lights for better visibility - and they're bright…backup lights as well.

Pretty much all current LED headlight bulbs on the market are going to cause glare. Even the badass new Morimoto 2Stroke LED bulb I've helped design will have some glare. It's impossible to add intensity to the stock reflectors when they're only designed for a certain amount of light to be reflected and not have some glare / uncontrolled light scatter.
