When I back out of my garage in the am, I cross one of those rubber thresholds meant to keep rain out. It's not very tall, and its rubber. I seem to hear a very low clunk noise (more than once) as I'm backing out into my driveway. I think I've also heard it at other times at low speed, forward and reverse, but this is where I notice it.

I'm about to tackle some bracing, but want to pinpoint this first. Anyone noticed anything similar?

My car has less than 5K on it and has a stock suspension. Thanks for any input.

My driveway is at about a 30* Incline. Mine did this when stock. It's actually gotten worse since i installed koni/eibach and the Pierce torsion bar. I'm going to pull it all apart again in a couple of weeks to install coils. If it still does it then I'm chalking it up to the hardcore econobox life lol. Maaaaybe a trunk brace?

Thanks. I can't imagine what it would be given my stock suspension. And it's so faint that the dealer would definitely give me a "NTF" if I asked them to look at it. I'm going to check everything in the spare wheel compartment first.

Installed the coils this weekend. Backed out of my driveway and not a peep. I'm guessing but it seems to be suspension related. I would guess shock mounts?

Some people, myself included, have had a similar sound from the bumpstops. There was a TSB for greasing them for other Ford models (called jounce bumpers in their TSBs), but I've never seen it for the fiesta. Ever since I applied some silicone brake grease to the very top of the strut shaft, I haven't heard any noise since and I disassembled and reassembled my suspension multiple times with no change before I tried this (before I had my coilovers).
