Nostrum hpfp does not fit under coil pack cover?

Hey everyone,

Today i was installing my new Nostrum hpfp on my engine, but i've ran in to some issues.

I've got the hpfp fitted using the instructions, and it's all connected, however, now that i have started putting back the coil pack cover, i've discovered that the cover now interferes with the fuel line fitting.

As you can see exactly where one of the bolts for the coil packs is supposed to go, there is the high pressure fuel line fitting.

I've already trimmed the cover everywhere it was bumping in to things, but i'm still about 1/4th a inch short, so it seems like the only way i could get this to fit would require me to remove bolt insert for one of the coil packs, which seems like a bad idea.

I haven't read about anyone running in to this issue, so i'm really confused whether i just did something wrong, or the fuel pump is just sitting too high because of maybe the wrong bracket?

Also a picture of the hpfp installed without the cover on.

I'm curious what you guys think is going wrong here.

Okay, so for the upgraded nostrum kit. You do need to modify the tray so it can fit. I am not sure where, since I bought a coil pack cover that is already trimmed and ready for it to install. I do know you have to trim it though and you have to be careful to do it. This is the one I bought and maybe you can see where it was trimmed to make yours fit.Keep in mind the one I bought also upgrades your coil packs but, at least you might be able to picture where it has to be trimmed.

Yeah...i ran into the same issue. You can use a shorter bolt...I did. Or buy the SVT design coil tray design that moves it up a 1/4 inch.[driving]

I did indeed modify the tray using the included instructions, but even after filing away a bunch of the material bellow the coilover bolt, it doesn't even get close to fitting yet, so i don't see a way to get it to work.

I think the SVT ignition coil bracket is probably my best bet, thanks for the suggestion :D

Even without a bolt i'm still about 1/4th of an inch off at least, if not more, i already filed down the plastic to the point where it is equal height to the metal thread insert, if i remove any more material i'm no longer going to be able to bolt down the coil pack at all, which is what also makes me worried that the SVT bracket is going to have the same problem, but i don't really see any other solution other than ditching the fuel pump for maybe the extreme-di one, which i really don't feel like doing. So trying out the SVT bracket it is.
