I posted pics of my car because when I got it 106000 miles ago, there was no where to find info. Now if my humble contribution helps out a newbie, then all is good. Also, when I say old, I mean knocking on 60

Gotcha by 4 years, and there are some MUCH older than I on here. [wink]

I also had both a first year, bought when new, '83 A1 GTI, and a '89 A2 GTI 16V, and a bought new, 'Black Cat' (John Player Special colors) manual, V-6, '76 Capri 2 WAY back when.

There are a few of us 'Old Guy' types here. I do get regular comments about the FiST being age inappropriate for 50+ year old. I just smile and know they have forgotten or never experienced a fun car let alone the smile inducing, laugh riot this car is.
Old guy, here.
My winter beater is a Lexus. Smooth, comfy, and boring as hell.
