The new Fiesta ST 1.6T has already built up a reputation as one of the best hot hatchbacks available on the market, with grip, precision and an affordable price tag.

PERON has found a way of making this great car even better, giving the Fiesta ST Super Car killing performance.

After spending time looking at each component of the Fiesta in detail, it became clear that while the standard turbo is ideal for day-to-day road use, it is less well suited to performance driving. Designed for low rpm torque, it simply cannot shift the volume of air needed to achieve high speeds on the track / fast road driving.

In order to give the Fiesta ST the performance we wanted, a complete re-design of the turbo system was required.

PERON selected the latest in turbocharger technology by using the new Borgwarner EFR series turbos.

Countless dyno hours and testing has resulted in a manifold that can spool fast and support maxium power. In additon, PERON's billet X collector means zero turbulence and bullet proof reliability.

The kit is capable of producing 260-300 hp at the WHEELS dependent on fuel grade and level of boost / timing.

This means 300hp is possible running at close to factory boost levels, keeping temperatures low and the stress on the components is reduced.

PERON P3XX includes:
  • - PERON EFR turbocharger and complete fitting kit
  • - Turbosmart custom wastegate
  • - PERON divertor valve adapter
  • - PERON turbo manifold with Billet X collector
  • - PERON turbo alloy inlet pipe
  • - PERON lower intercooler pipe
  • - PERON EFR 76mm tig welded downpipe

What's the point of having tube header on a turbo car?

Ease of construction for the builder and some say it feeds the turbo better pulses (Puma If I recall)

The factory turbo mount is a 3 bolt affair too where as the aftermarket turbos use at t25 or other type mount for the turbo to manifold..

Casting iron or inconel is very expensive. Actually, building and tooling the molds is what's expensive...

It can flow better and it's easier to tune the exhaust pulses if you know what you are doing.

Disadvantages are cost, most end up cracking at the welds and most add additional lag down low but flow better up top.
