removing racing stripe adhesive with Goo Gone

So I removed the stripes off my car, and other than a buff, and some extra adhesive, it's good to go.

But, Some parts still have a bit extra adhesive (The front bumper)

Goo Gone worked for the most part, but I only left it sit for about 5 minutes.

How long can you leave goo gone on your car before it starts eating the paint job?

Or does it not?
