OK, so back home from my first ProSolo weekend, lets just say me and my codriver had a bad weekend. there was not enough cars to make aa class for us so we got grouped into an index class with G street and D street cars. less mods, but faster base cars that can run much more tire than i can. few Focus st's on the same tire as me but 255 wide, and nick sparks aka Mr ProSolo in his D street WRX.
the class uses your PAX adjusted time to, in theory, equal out the cars times, this works great when the classes have been around a while and its know the differences in performance. STH is brand new, so the pax wrecked us hard. we did the math and would have had to run times equal to new corvettes on 315 hoosier slicks to win our class(this would mean we would have had to be one of the fastest cars there) suffice to say, this sucked and we had zero chance of winning. both me and my co driver ran times pretty close to the 2nd and 3rd place focus st car today in the dry, but because of PAX, he was seconds ahead of us once it was adjusted.
my first 2 right side runs i redlight the .500 pro tree, once of them with a .497 rt so sat am dry session i offically set no times, and my left course time was ok. saat afternoon it started to pour, i set an ok wet time, faster than some of the other guys dry times for right and it put me on the board in 7th of 10 and my co driver in 6th. sunday am dried up and we went up and down the boaard a bit, but there was no way we could have run the needed times to win with our insane prosolo pax. we finised with me in 8th and my co driver in 6th, he got me on one side by .2 or .3 seconds.
next weekend is the champ tour for dixie region in georgia, i will get bumped to another class since im the only STH car registered but hopefully between that and our slightly better non prosolo pax it MAY work in my favor.
For the car, it behaved wonderfully, super neutral, able to pivot on command, handled bouncing the limiter and 1 money shift where it saw 8k rpms for a split second. wet or dry it handled well and as always was a blast to drive. I just know not to bring it to another ProSolo event again.
The downpipe from Ron@Whoosh coupled with my new tune from Stratified really helped out with the car hanging in the upper rpm range the whole time, solid power, quick response, and it never fell on its face, also, the gurgles and backfires sound so much better. huge thank you to both those guys/companies for getting me stuff last minute. hopefully I can fix my dishonor next weekend in Georgia.
Ill post the pictures from the event and some video as they are uploaded.
edit. forgot to mention, in the dry, on 200tw street tires on an unprepped surface i waas cutting 2.2 60fts and in the rain on the same tires, 2.3's
