Stage 2 Cobb OTS

Is it safe to switch to the OTS Cobb Stage 2 without adding a cold air intake?
I already installed a new FMIC and am in the process of installing a Big Mouth intake & RMM.

Cobb for some reason has never changed their position on that (it sells parts I guess), but many other tuners have found no advantage to an intake before you go to a turbo upgrade.

I've run both Cobb's stage 2 and Dizzy's stage 2 on the factory intake and filter with zero issues.

I ran a the ots stage 3 with just a drop in filter after much reading. No adverse effects that I know of.
