Hi all
[wave]

Uk member, just picked up my ST in race red. Looking for some clarification :)

Wondering what sort of figures you are getting from various dynos in stock form, then comparative runs at stage 1, same dyno, same day?

Browsing this forum there seems to be a massive divide between different dynos, and I cannot find a single stock against stage 1/2 dyno sheet that makes sense. Most seem to be dramatically over exaggerated compared to stock figures, or have a large boost spike resulting in a silly torque figure, or simply have no 'baseline' stock run as a comparison (resulting in a worthless piece of paper )

Cobb themselves quote some very realistic figures, however some of the 'after' runs flying around here, with no baseline test, seem a little unlikely.

Anyway, would like to see some results for stock vs stage 1 and above, ran on the same dyno under the same conditions and plotted on the same graph.

Cheers

Nice forum BTW :)

Thanks guys

So Stock to stage 1 approx + 3bhp +18ftlbs
Stock to stage 2 approx +24bhp +40ftlbs

And lets forget the 'wheel hp' thing, and concentrate on the actual gains noted, since this is a Mustang dyno ( which are know to be conservative ), we can safely assume that the 'wheel hp' reading are actually flywheel figures, hence the stock car makes roughly the correct bhp for a stock car, strangely enough :). Torque - At the kind of ramp rates used for these runs ( 18 seconds 2000rpm to redline ), yes, you are going to get an inflated torque figure, any slower and you would drop out of the 'overboost' !!
