I was thinking of getting some lamin x tint for the tails. Anyone do this? I did the heads and fogs in yellow and love the look but the tails look like they could be a little tougher.
Clean looking MO there man. [emoji41]

The car looks great.

Just be aware that the Lamin X will burn on the Fogs.
This is because the lens is too close to the bulbs.
The cure is go to a 35 watt bulb or remove the Lamin X and use a 2500K (yellow) bulb.

Thanks for the heads up. I may just get the 35 to be safe. That way i don't end up having to replace the lamin x.

Thanks! Anyone tint the tails on the Fist? I might just go ahead and give it a try. They look a little tougher than the headlights.
Post some daytime brake light pictures if you do, I want to tint mine too but I'm considering if I should buy LED bulbs first or something.

I'm sorry but traffic is bad where I am at, the last thing I want is to make my brake lights harder to see.

I have to ask, has anyone looked at this from an insurance viewpoint?

"But officer I didn't see his brake lights"

I am curious.

I really want to tint my tails as it will look totally BA on my Tuxedo Black. But I would also go for a brighter lamp to compensate (LEDs) for the tint.
That would be similar to the setup I had on a previous car... Lights were totally visible even with fairly aggressively smoke tails.

I totally understand the BA look and I like it too.
We all know that tinting your tail lights is not legal.
I am not trying to be the forum police and say you can't do it.
I know that it is only a fixit ticket.
Personally I don't care what you do to your own car.

I was just curious if anyone knew what the ramifications would be if the car was involved in an accident.
Now we have gone beyond a simple traffic infraction.
I know that LEOs usually charge the car striking the rear but would this change anything?
Insurance companies now always want to shift/split the blame, so does anyone know what their point of view would be?

I bet you a buffalo nickel a smart person would use that fact if they ever rear ended someone who had tinted tail lights. It's just too damn easy.

Tinted tail lights = against the law.

Accident caused (regardless of truth) by the inability to see lights.

Now it is on the owner of the illegal light modification to try to prove his innocence. Regardless of facts (I use brighter lights to make up for the tinting and you can see it better!), it's still illegal.
All the lawyer/judge has to do is ask "are your lights illegally tinted?" technically, yes but... "no buts sonny, I have enough facts.... off with his head! Case closed".

It's like making modifications that mess with passing SMOG in California. Even if it makes the car POSSIBLY better as an environmental concern, if it's not smog legal... the mod is ILLEGAL and its a fail.

That's my opinion at least :)

Yea I agree with D1JL and Brick. Not sure if I will do it or not. I really like the look but u guys def. make good points that I never really thought about. And it would suck to get caught up in a mess like that.
