About to do the transmission seal for the fist and was wondering whats the easiest way to do it. i have seen people take off the lower ball joint and people take off the lower control arm. Also for some reason i cant seam to find the torque specs for literally anything (lower control arm/ball joint) and what i do find isn't clear.or is locked behind something.

I just replaced my driver's side CV axe and the transmission seal. I lowered the lower control arm from the knuckle/hub (used this video for reference:

). It would've been easier with a tool (https://www.amazon.com/GEARWRENCH-3916D-Universal-Joint-Separator/dp/B003YVWHOE), but I was able to remove it with a prybar and a jack (You can jack the control arm/suspension up, stick a metal object between the control arm and the knucke/hub, and quickly lower the jack. The force of the suspension load should help separate the control arm and the knuckle). Once the 32mm axle nut is removed and the control arm is lowered, you can remove the outer end of the CV axle from the hub, then remove the CV axle. Be careful removing the seal, it's easy to damage the inner surface of the transmission. Here's the torque specs for the lower control arm (52Nm or 38 ft-lbs): https://www.fiestastforum.com/threads/torque-specs-lower-control-arms.25295/.

The 32mm axle nut should be 188 ft-lbs (255Nm). You should probably replace the axle nut, and torque it on the ground by removing the center caps on you wheels.
