This is a very sad day for the car community. Thanks Mr. Block for being a true inspiration to all of us and for making the Hoonicorn a reality. One of my all time favorite builds ever and I'm sure I'm not the only one. R.I.P sir you will be missed!!!

Ken was one of the few that had the business savvy to monetize our love of cars in such a way to finance the building of an empire that specialized in building exactly the craziness that we all wanted him to build, outside of the confines of motorsport. I'm not sure who is going to be able to step up to take over the slot of CEO of Madness.

Most importantly, he seemed to be an awesome father to his daughter; I loved that he turned the driving of his THIS vs THAT channel over to her and very actively supported her car love and development in motorsports.

A loss for all of us. RIP, Ken.

Very sad news, he was one of the reasons why I got into rally racing (watching it) and specifically Ford and Subaru. RIP

Hope to see his kids continue his legacy, just finished watching the series where Ken and his daughter build the old UR Quattro.

Yeah, all of the insane high speed stuff he's done and that's what takes him out. [:(]

Motorsports has lost an ICON.

Yes, I would like to see his wife and daughter continue on in ARA rallying, as I know he would have wanted that.

Even though the old, original RWD Escorts, and later the Escort Cossie WRCs (BOTH of which KB owned, and/or rallied himself) are what got me hooked on rallying, KB most certainly did put the Fiesta WRC on the map before the model ever won a WRC driver's or manufacturer's crown.

Even though I am sure he had tons of fun with all of the Hoonigan series vids, he truly LOVED rallying first and foremost, above all else involving an engine and four wheels.

I remember interviews where he said he was a rally fan even way way back when he was skateboarding, and first started DC Shoes.

Might be the same interview you are talking about but there is a video where he talked about Colin McRae being a big influence in pursuing rallying and he was lucky to race with/against McRae:

Legends, both of these guys.

Schumacher in a coma from skiing, McRae died in a helicopter crash and now Ken's snowmobile accident. None in a sport they all excelled at.

Exactly. [:(]

I was working the stages before and after Ken crashed, rolled, and escaped, just in time, from his flame engulfed Escort Cossie (which eventually burned to the ground) in Maine in 2018, and then an effing snowmobile takes him out.

Yes, that effing eggbeater took out Colin as well as his young son.
