That is unanswerable without more information. Assuming this is for a Fist that you own, you'll need to explain mods that you have, your goals on the sound you're looking for, your budget, and anything else that would help with understanding your situation. There are a number of quality options for this car, ranging from tame to pretty loud.

I made the mistake of not doing enough research only watched a few youtube videos and made my decision on a mbrp xp series that exhaust to me is so loud its unbearable I ended up selling it for half of what I paid so make sure you do your research and not regret your purchase like me and have it cost you $$$ and time.

Ditto. Same here. New exhaust comes in tomorrow. Hopefully I like the FSWerks better than I did the Injen. Fingers crossed. It was an expensive experiment

One rule I've learned from reading is no point to go bigger than 3", unless you're going big turbo.

What are your last three options???
Narrowed it down to Cobb, FSWerks and Mountune. Have not heard them in person, trying to choose based on reviews and online videos. I'm a 50ish guy who would like better flow and a little more growl, without the sound being too much.

I'd probably go with Mountune...I feel their parts are closest to OEM quality in many regards, driveability being a main one.

I have the FSWerks and I really like it. It is not loud by any means, but did give the car a very nice sound. Not too rumbly or bass-y, and no drone. I thought the quality was very fair for the cost of the product (Everything fit together well, just didn't feel as 'stout' as my borla exhaust on my subie. As a matter of fact the FSWerks is probably a good bit lighter than the stock, which isn't a bad thing)

I'm guessing you meant to say no need to go bigger than 2 1/2" unless you're going big turbo. I don't know of any exhaust out for the FiST that's bigger than 3".

FSWerks is in my top choices as well. Looking forward to clips. I am a little worried it won't be loud enough, finding that sweet spot is not easy when all you have is youtube videos. What was you issue with the Injen?

Hard to beat the quality, and sound, of Cobb. Lots of folks changing exhausts from brand to brand. Don't know of many that bought the Cobb and switched it for something else.

Borlas seems to have a unique sound based on their clips. How popular are their exhausts for the ST?

I got to hear a Cobb and I was not all that impressed although I will say that my thought of who would buy it was 40 something + people. I am in my 20s and thought it was not much louder than stock for the price. It sounds a little deeper but honestly I rode in another car and in an enclosed spaced I couldn't hear the exhaust even though the car was in front of me. I could hear the blow off but not the exhaust. It is that quiet and in car is roughly the same. If you can I recommend trying to find someone with one even if you have to drive. It looks great and I am jealous of the tips for sure, but seems like a lot of money for a deeper toned stock exhaust. Also I don't know about the muffler but I took out my resonator and it is straight through so getting better flow by removing that will be difficult. I got pretty close to the same sound as the cobb for $40 by removing the resonator. I can confirm it is very quiet even with a catless dp. In car I can hardly hear anything at low speeds and once over about 40 mph tire and wind noise overwhelm the exhaust note so drone is not a problem.

From what I have seen and heard it seems like you can have one of 2 things with our cars. A exhaust that does not drone but also does not fill that want for a strong in car exhaust note. Or a great sounding exhaust that makes driving fun until you get on the interstate and have to deal with the drone. There seems to be no middle ground. I really like the CP-e but have seen where people complain about it being too quiet also. There may be no way to have it all with our cars. Although cut outs seem more and more appealing lol
