I too am a bit underwhelmed by the results of that Stang so far but know it will be quicker as just has to be

I also know what kind of effort it takes to build a project like it and well beyond as I have personally done so more than once.

Biggest enemy is weight right now, lots to do there, Lexan, strip out all not needed interior parts, etc.....and lots of little things that can be trimmed, lived without, etc....cars are loaded with them. I removed 20lbs just in excess wiring from one street/track project and everything still worked!

I love all race cars from drags, road race, rally, oval track....all of them but my heart is always on street/race cars that do both well and done right excel at everything.

.... Take a fox body mustang, do the same mods to it from the K-member to the suspension and all, then put that awesome motor and trans in it.

After seeing that car (in 2006) , 4 months later I had a 2450lbs. 2.3L turbo 1984 fox in the garage next to my srt4, lol. Fastest ones are automatic trans with nicely matched stall convertors ( no "launch control" wink ).

That is a very cool early 2.3 Stang indeed, especially the low weight!
