If you end up wanting to ship I'll take the splitter depending on the price.

And if you'd ship the wheels, I'd give you $450 plus shipping.

I'm going to try to find some boxes for the wheels.

Cool. The tires are mounted on the wheels, right? You could do something like this: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=304

The tire itself is part of the package, along with the cardboard on the front and back. A layer of foam protects the wheel face. The whole thing is held together by tape wrapped all the way around in a criss-cross pattern.

Where do you get the rounds?

Yeah... good question. I'd bet a FedEx or UPS store could make them, but I'm not completely sure. Maybe cut the sides from big boxes, if nothing else. Seems like a UPS store could come up with a way.

Buy 2 of the extra large, heavy duty, moving boxes from home Depot. Each box makes 4 rounds . It doesn't have to look pretty, just protect the wheels.

Sounds like that would work too. gongos, my zip code is 66215. If you're willing to package them up and ship them, I'd give you $450 plus shipping costs. Just let me know...

I'm going to see how much work it will be to ship the wheels. I don't want to spend hours packaging and transporting wheels.

be careful with ShipNex - They quoted me $130 or so to ship a set of wheels. After delivery they charged me an additional $45 in various fees that I had to pay for stupid shit like residential delivery and some other crap. You can schedule them to come pick the tires up at your house - no transport needed.

follow this http://howtoshipwheels.com/HowToShipWheelsWithTires/

ship via ShipNex https://www.shipnex.com/ - drop wheels off at a UPS and you're set!

you may or may not have to create a square to ship vs. circular... I followed the above link than formed/created corner pieces for each wheel so it appears to be square shaped.

This is the correct answer. I had to ship my daughter wheels/tires all the way across the country. No need for cardboard either. Just attach the wheels face to face. I used heavy duty electrical zip ties, and some gorilla tape for good measure. Shipnex is the same as UPS, they just broker extra space on the trucks. They picked up the wheels at my house and delivered them 3 days early to AZ (from MD). I did not encounter any additional fees that MPA referenced above. In fact, they sent me an email with the quoted price, so there was no confusion. Highly recommended.
