2019 fiesta at whoosh hyrbid turbo, car has 9000 miles and turbo has 1300 ish, the car at idle when hot will blow blue smoke at idle like at a stop light, it’s doing it about once a week and today it did it twice in a row. It’s really stated to freak me out because it’s either the turbo or the pcv system “i have a catch can” but besides that i don’t have a clue it did throw a P219a code, back when i picked the car up after install “BTR did it” and yesterday after it got dynoed and made 290whp. Car is running great but I’d love to figure this out
Yes i did switch to 5w-40 to try and help it
No smoke when accelerating or if it is smoking if i rev it, it doesn’t shoot a big ass cloud it’s just right at idle

any idea guys thanks

Like I mentioned before if you had a catted downpipe you probably wouldn't even see the smoke.
Blue smoke equals oil are you having to add any oil?
You have a hybrid turbo not a big turbo big difference. You would get better responses if you listed the question as hybrid turbo.

Empty the catch can and see if it goes away?

Otherwise it’s likely due to a lack of cats as mentioned above. Has the engine been using oil?

I was told flat out by blood type racing this a pretty common issue and if it was the turbo it would do it everywhere and at wot, part throttle you name it. I wonder if it’s a pcv issue

Just keep a eye on the oil level.
Sometimes if you really do have a problem you just have to give it time for it to show itself.
When you don't have a cat there's nothing to slow down / burn up that smoke. I'm not too concerned because you say it doesn't happen during acceleration.

does your catch-can have a check valve? I had the same sort of problem when I first went to a turbo change, but had no check valve. Put on a UPR valve and problem solved.

And if it was a bad turbo seal it would be getting worst and you could see the garage
My buddy is running that same turbo. He also has a check valve on his catch-can and has no smoking issue. It did smoke a bit when first installed while it all just burned off the shipping oil/lube that tends to be used. Both his car and mine are cat-less and have zero smoke.

im wondering if the check valve, or catch can was plug in backwards
