Oh you have no idea....

Next on my wish list is learning how to make Carbon Fiber parts!!

Definitely interested to see where you take this!
I can print nylon parts with continuous carbon fiber or nylon reinforcement, but carbon layup is beyond the scope of my work heh

Just finished my first autocross! Was a fantastic time, I ended up one of the fastest novice drivers (still waiting on final rankings). Definitely going again when the season starts in February. Only issue is I completely destroyed my class rankings will all of my mods, as a rookie I'm already in street modified IMG_20191110_134436_209.jpg

I'll admit it's overkill, but wouldn't you print everything possible if you had the capability?
Yeah I would. If you can, PM me who is doing your 3D printing. Since CITIM got bought out by by that sleazy German outfit who nearly quadrupled prices for 3D printed metals we have had to go back to machining everything.

It's actually me myself, I am a student worker at my college in the manufacturing lab 20191105_134259.jpg

Completed machining my BOV adapter to mount my factory replacement Turbosmart dual port in the symposer location. I ordered some heat tape on a whim, I'm going to wrap the cold side intercooler piping gold. If I'm honest, it was cheap and our cars are boring under the hood. I talk about what I have done, and everyone asks to see under the hood. photo_2019-12-09_01-47-04.jpg photo_2019-12-09_01-47-08.jpg

Nice work on everything, especially the 3D printing stuff, I had my buddy modify the intercooler grill cover single size recipe out there to 3 different sizes, 2 regular size, 2- 1.5mm longer and 2- 6mm longer for the 3 different lengths going from middle to outside.. your build also looks a LOT like mine, I also have the Eibach's, love how they kill almost all the harshness but still perform really well, and some bright yellow complete housing swap fog lights, but some $70 ones off Amazon, lol... anyway, not sure what direction you plan on going with the intake with the BT coming, but you should wrap the crossover in that heat tape, it sits right over the really hot turbo and crossover and induction hose is where you see gains, air box end is just for sound really.

I've got a cobb intake and have heat wrapped the cold side intercooler and may do the intake while I have it off

What made you go with the mrx over the s280 or a hybrid.

As my only car, I didn't trust the reliability of a hybrid long-term
Ran mine for 8k on 28-29 psi with no issues before i upgraded to the s280. Drove a 2860 car and the spool bothered me and the mrx spools roughly the same. Mine is my only ride now too. s280 is the perfect turbo for this car.

Well, first drive is over. A very challenging install, and not without it's issues. The powerband is completely different. On my wastegate map it makes exactly what is expected, 17.5 psi. However on my other map it's only making 20psi when it should be 27. Also there's coolant in the passenger wheel well yet all the lines and fittings are dry. Could it be I overfilled the reservoir? What things should I check? Also a small exhaust leak, I reused the stock gasket

Most shops have a kit to put a few PSI on the coolant system to leak check... not sure on the 20 psi so it's a guess on my end to similarly retorque all of the high pressure plumbing clamps (that's probably not the issue but important to check)... Was the preload set up on the wastegate actuator? Are datalogging on the AccessPort?

The wastegate preload is still the factory setting, it's making the boost expected however. I haven't been logging, I'm not doing an E tune as I have dyno time scheduled with JST. If the logs can be read by anyone here I can make some however

The body of the wastegate has two threaded holes, do they need to be capped? There's a part with a plug and a nipple that I can find no mention of in the instructions, they call it a seal kit
