Curious why not use a Bluetooth ethanol sensor? No hacking and no gauge to mount.
I was on the Dizzy Ethanol Gauge bandwagon from the beginning and the installation looked simple enough. The Fuel-It gauge could be a good option as well though, if you’re not comfortable with running wires through the firewall. If you ask Tune+, he’ll tell you they’re completely unnecessary anyway haha.

Edit: if you’re referring to Tune+, he said the tool on his website is accurate enough for his tunes. If it’s followed, it’ll be within range.

I still have to test the ethanol and 93 at the pump anyway.. I figured having a gauge in the car would give me the exact figure for what’s in the tank which makes mixing it as accurate as possible. I suppose tuners build in a margin for error but I like to be thorough.

Btw did you use SVT calipers or stock? I would like to ditch the stock rear calipers.
My rear brakes have stock calipers with SVT mounting brackets. I have the Stoptech ST40 Kit in the front. It’s overkill and makes it a pain in the ass to find wheels. I never worry about stopping though. If you haven’t installed limited slip yet, do it. It takes a lot of stress off the front brakes. I should’ve done that first.

The Mfactory is going in with an Xclutch 1a when the long block and twin scroll kit gets installed. I love saying twin scroll ha ha

Yeah that’s going to be the best setup in any Fiesta I’ve ever read about. It would be perfect for my application as well.

Thanks. Have you looked into replacing the rear calipers with better ones?
I haven’t felt the need too. After increasing the rotor diameter and adding more aggressive pads, the balance is pretty good now. The only time I have issues is when I’m railing down hard from +120mph. The slightly taller wing helped keep the car straight but I think it needs more. ABS is bumping so figured my brakes are good. The wiggle was way worse when I had the ST40 paired with stock rear rotors. Brake bias was way off. It feels much better now. I burn through rear pads from left foot braking though.

I wonder how it works?? I was under the impression that the car has no means of detecting ethanol content.

That’s good to know. I just bought the Mountune Brembo 4 pot from FistMag and I know the rears need more to be balanced.

Have you seen the Goldcoast automotive rear kit? Seems like it’ll pair up nicely with what you have. I’ve seen the Wilwood kit at 2J Racing. It’s awesome but crazy expensive.

Yep. I use Stoptech slotted rotors and Stoptech Street Performance pads. Others use Carbotech XP10 but I’m already hitting ABS so I don’t need them.
