Hey guys first time posting just looking to see if anyone out there can help me with some info before I go tossing money at something I don’t know much about, last year I bought my 2016 fist with about 20k on it and I completely love the car it’s a total blast to drive and quite easy to maintain but my question is that my car came with what seems to be stage 3 parts from Cobb all preinstalled by the previous owner from the full cat back from Cobb to the Cobb motor mounts air intake and from what I can tell although it’s hard to see I believe the intercooler is also Cobb. I never met the previous owner nor did the car come with a Cobb Accessport unit I always run premium and the car runs great I just wish I could tell if it’s been tuned or not or if I should invest in a unmarried Accessport unit so I can get full power it would suck to buy a Accessport just to find out it’s already been tuned. Any help appreciated thanks guys happy motoring! Ps sorry for the numerous typos.

Even if you know there's an aftermarket tune on there, it wouldn't help you, as you won't know the fuel requirement. The only thing you can try is to see if there's a tune with multiple map slots. You can try to check that by pressing the cancel button on your cruise control when the car is running. If the tach needle jumps to any 1000 interval, it means there is an aftermarket tune but, again, you won't know which and you won't know what the fuel requirements are. If the needle doesn't move, you're back to not knowing if there is or isn't an aftermarket tune. If you install an ap, it will wipe any aftermarket tune that may already be loaded.

Tried hitting/toggle the cancel button on the cruise control no changes in rpm whatsoever I’m guessing no maps or 1 map. I’m just wondering if the ecu would have had to have been flashed with at least one map when these stage 3 parts were initially installed as not to trip a check engine or would they have not triggered an engine code? Thanks in advance

With all the cobb parts still on, the likely scenario is that the previous owner used the ap and installed a map. When the car was sold, the ap was probably unmarried and sold separately.
