Are there lightweight(ish) Fifteen52 style 17" wheels that fit the FiST?

I've always loved the Hoonigan/Ken Block style Fifteen52 wheels on the Fiesta, ever since watching Gymkhana videos. But even in 17" sizes, they weigh WAY too much!

My 2015 came already on some lightweight Enkei 16's (if anyone knows the exact model, LMK!):

As much as I am sure these are great for weight savings, they look quite small on the car, especially at stock ride height. So, I started looking around for 4x108 options, but they are quite limited. Fifteen52 DOES make some options for us, but they are also like 25+ lbs per corner(!!). Does anyone know of a similar style to the Tarmac or Turbomac style that is available in our BP and size that will fit, without being way heavier than stock?




Thanks for any help or suggestions, and sorry if this has been covered already! I promise I searched around, and found some really good suggestions, but most of those (like the Motegi MR125s) are no longer in production from a few years ago.

You have Enkei J10s. 16x7 +42… not exactly light compared to RPF1s…

Also, those 1552 are cast, so despite being heavy enough to anchor a yacht in rough seas, the wheels will bend/crack just as easy as OEM wheels, which is well known.

Konig makes 17s that don’t suck using the same technology as Enkei. Rota makes 17s that look similar to the junk from 1552 & about the same quality.

You could also look for Chinese 80/90s Mustang wheels, they have 4x108 BP, but the offsets will usually poke outside of the Fiesta fenders about 1/2”.

Tirerack has the best FiST appropriate wheel selection available, unless you have coin to order custom wheels.

Oh, yeah, totally agree that Fifteen52 is for looks ONLY and not performance or quality. Just sucks, since I dig the look. I saw some Rota's that were similar design to the Turbomacs, but I also am not a fan of cast wheels so that kinda sucks. I guess I could always go for some Konig's and just abandon the design I was after, but I had a hard time finding anything in gold by Konig that fits. Powdercoat is always an option, but this is supposed to be a cheap daily, so I didn't want to end up having more $$ tied up in some 17s than I have on my main car!

Other quality 17” options come from Phils. Rattle can would be better than powdercoat imo… you don’t want to change the metallurgy of the wheel being in an oven for so long imo. Lower temp powders exist, but are pricey.

Fifteen52s are all boat anchors, and I can't say I've seen any 17s in a similar style. Personally I don't think 16"s or 15"s look small on our cars, especially with 50+ aspect ratio tires.

Konig Hypergrams and Dekagrams are common on this platform for construction, weight, and bolt pattern reasons. I'll second the recommendation for wheels from Phil's Tire Service. I'm looking at TD Classic Pro Race 1.2s, Pro Race LTs or the KE Motorsport T12s in 15" for my next set.

The reason Fifteen52 wheels are so heavy is that they are designed to be heavy duty rally wheels that also have some unique looks. Hence the reason you saw them on Ken Block’s vehicles. A lightweight road/track wheel cannot stand up to the abuse a rally wheel can.

They’re boat anchors on purpose.

But aren't Fifteen52 cast, which is NOT strong? Heavy doesn't necessarily equal strong, just like light doesn't (always) mean weak. Forging usually is both stronger AND lighter than cast or flow-formed. It's just also more $$$. That said, I'm sure the wheels that WRC teams or KB uses/used are not the same off the shelf ones we can get!

I'll go back to the drawing board, it sounds like it's just not worth the cost and/or risk of running heavy cast wheels just for looks, and if no one else is making a flow-formed replica, then it makes sense to go instead with a Konig or similar.
