Hello Everyone! This is my first time ever in a community Forums and it's such an honor to be here!
I just purchased a 2019 Fiesta ST (Mk 7.5) here in the US with 73k miles on it and I am so excited to begin this journey with it.
Normally I would end here however I would like some tips and insights on this as after a week of owning it and enjoy it the car had a couple of issues.
Ironically before joining the forums I probably have read days worth of insights of these issues. Ironically during the week of owning it I noticed a weird hesitation during full boost/above 3k rpm. Decided to change spark plugs and coils and did a CRC Turbo cleaner to help clean out the system. Felt that it ran better and responded ever so slightly faster but still had hesitation especially during turns entering highway.
Then, I overheated. So bleed the cooling system and it worked for about a day and felt decent and come the next day it overheated again. What I found though was that I was still able to drive it at least home, as long as I was between 40 - 55mph and below 2500 rpm without the turbo spooling so much and the temperature will stay at operating temperature. But, going uphill on the highway or taking off from the light or sitting at idle. The car will begin to rise temps. I never had it hit H and would immediately pull over if I even hit 2 Bars above operational temp.
So I am requesting some help with this as I do see a good potential with this car just unfortunately going to have to put some money into sooner than I thought.
Mind you, the car is completely stock with the acception of a Cold Air Intake and a Smaller Muffler.
After reading a bunch of Forums from here I had decided to purchase a Koyo Radiator and a Motorcraft 180° Thermostat as a start and also the water pump and timing belt for preventative maintenance. I am also looking to convert the Purge Valve to the 14-15 model year to see if that will do the trick for my hesitation issue as I am also having a problem filling up where the car would want to shut off immediately. I also have a small split second misfire in the morning during cold start and couple seconds later acts completely fine.
I see a lot of you guys are very knowledgeable and are super helpful here and it's given me some comfort knowing that I would be in good hands here as I was losing faith with this purchase. It's my first time ever having a Turbo Charged car and have been terrified to try it out but here we are lol!
Would love some inputs and feedback from you guys! God Bless
