Aside from this forum, does anyone know a place to check for car specific records on a specific track? Curious if a fiesta ST could sub 2 buttonwillow. I don't see why not, but I could be mistaken.

No single source that I'm aware of unfortunately, and I agree that there's no reason a sub-2 in a Fiesta ST can happen, that's my goal is to be the fastest stock turbo FiST then to get a sub-2 when I eventually upgrade the turbo.

These may not be all up to date

Agreed that I think it's possible, I did a 2:07 on 205 RE71's and an open diff, I don't see why a good driver with full bolt-ons and a LSD couldn't manage 2 flat.

MSR Cresson - 1:32
Bone stock with 16x7 RPF1s and 215-45-16 RT660s
View: https://youtu.be/OHkB0FVGaHs?si=Uj9weO26PJoQwfUU

Streets of Willow CCW - 1:31 Streets of Willow CW - 1:31
Cobb stg 1 OTS, eibach rsb, EBC blues, 16x7 RPF1s with cooked rt660s

This was my first time on both of these tracks, had overheating issues but have a mountune radiator ready to go on. Can't wait to get back out there with some go fast parts and more driver mod!

Made it back to MSR Cresson 1.7 CCW yesterday and managed a 1:30.3 with the new fortune auto 500s, tunewerks 91 tune, and EPC rpx front pads, still ran the 16x7 RPF1s to get a baseline with 215-45-16 re71rs front and rt660s rear. Only did two sessions before the brakes were toast, I'd been autocrossing and street driving them for a few months beforehand. Mountune radiator was awesome coolant temps didn't get above 215, ambient temp was about 75.

MSR Cresson 1.7 CCW once again, new PB at 1:29! 215-45-16 rt660s front with re71rs rear, wavetrac lsd, tunewerks 93, fa 500s, powerstop track day spec pads front with ebc blues rear. Also added the boomba brake deflectors which seemed to help with fade a little, combined with the brakes being worked less because of the lsd. Unfortunately only got to run one session because the hot side charge pipe blew off, limped it home and snugged it back on but will be upgrading those soon with the whoosh pipes. Was hoping to test the 245-40-15f 225-45-15 rear setup against the 16s but that will have to wait until Hallett next week.

Just spamming this thread at this point but ran a 1:32 at Hallett CCW, first time there only setup changes from MSR were running the 245/255 rt660s on the 15x8 TDs and powerstop track day pads up front. The car felt good overall but blew the charge pipe off again one session and brakes were just the backing by the end of the day despite adding the boomba deflectors. They got so hot the center caps on my TDs melted off so may look into a BBK soon for better heat dissipation and probably hoses as well.

What spring rate did you go with for your FAā€™s? I am waiting on a set, I ordered 7k & 5k and wondering if I should have stiffened it up more.

I just got the defaults definitely want to go stiffer soon though probably around 9k front 13 rear to get more rotation especially for autocross.

It's very car/setup dependent but usually you want to start around the door pressure and work from there depending on how it feels.

The center cap situation happens really often. Heat gets trapped in there rather easily. I've seen peoples caps fly off while on track. At NASA they will fail you at tech if you have caps on from what I was told.

stupid question - what tire psi do you run on track / on pavement?
Too many variables to say. 2 different tires can run good at different pressures.
The compound matters
track condition
tire stretch
ambient temps
etc.
I recommend 1 psi cold for every 100 pounds of car. so a 3k pound car will be around 30 psi to start. Then work your way up or down from there.

I am surprised that not EVERY open track running organization does not require their removal in order to go out onto the track at all.

Yeah it completely slipped my mind because I hadn't used those wheels on track before.

Thx - Ive had them at 40 / 35 since day one and can feel problems as the fronts get lower...but don't really know where my question was going!
