2013 SYNC Help

Hey Everyone,

I recently picked up a Fiesta ST and i am currently loving it.

However to my surprise the SYNC unit i have does not receive Meta Data through Bluetooth, to display track name etc.

Is this an issue on my specific unit, or is there a way to fix this?

You may need to update it. Most current version is 3.10 but is a dealer install only. You might be able to find the 3.8 version on the site.

Are your contacts synced and showing up?
Every version of sync 2 I had would show bluetooth song names and whatnot since 2014.

Is it playing the music? On rare occasion mine will play just fine, but not display anything - like nothing in that lower left pane. If I turn it off and on again it shows up. This has happened to me with all versions, up to 3.10 now.

What phone OS? Android Oreo, iOS11, etc

The music plays fine, it just doesnt show Meta Data.

Im running SYNC 1 to my knowledge, Version GEN1EU - 13A_LB12.

Im not sure if it can be updated

Have you tried another phone? I'd try all the simple things before going to the dealership. But maybe that's just because the dealership in my town blows.

You may need to update the Bluetooth module. Early 2014 it was changed to enable track names
