A few questions about brakes.

Good afternoon,
I have a couple of questions about brakes. Are the front brakes the same across all the trim levels? It seems like a previous owner cobbled together something and I can't fit SVT focus wheels over the calibers. One of the wheels that were on it has a crack in it so I either need to go back to stock or find a wheel that will fit. I'm leaning toward going back to stock as this is my daily driver.

Unfortunately, the spokes hit the caliper. I would need to install a spacer which I would like to avoid. As far as I am aware, anything over a quarter inch will not pass my state inspection. I regret not getting a photo with the SVT wheel on there. This also is not the Wilwood kit that is currently sold on their site for this car. Someone suggested that it could be an SN-95 mustang caliper with an SVT rotor, but I don't have anything to compare it to. I'll try to take the picture tomorrow.

H&R has 5mm spacers, that's under a 1/4"

What year is your vehicle? I've been finding that a lot of vendors made kits very early on for the FiST/FoST and then changed the SKUs when the 2016s came out. (Primarily intakes but I wouldn't put it past Wilwood or someone who contracted wilwood to produce a production run of a specific brake kit)

Unfortunately with the aftermarket brake kits, the stock ST wheels will also not fit without spacers - basically your options are spacers or aftermarket wheels

I ended up going back to stock to get back on the road. Spacers would have definitely been over a quarter inch. I might keep the BBK for my Grand Marquis. If anyone needs to know in the future, base model fiesta front brakes work on the ST.

I have the Wilwood big brake kits front and rear with stock ST wheels. A couple of issues you will find. A spacer for the fronts is definitely needed. I used an 1/8" spacer to make clearance. It is tight but there has been no issues with street or track driving. Second issue is your factory spare tire will no longer fit over the brake assembly. I carry a patch kit and small air pump with me just in case. There is enough room for a full size spare using a factory ST wheel in the tire well. I have a bunch of spare tire/wheel sets but just have not gotten around to swapping out my spare. It looks like your kit is for another application as your rotor hat looks completely different. Hard to tell but the rotor hat and caliper bracket might have the rotor and caliper offset too far towards the wheel and/or the caliper is a larger unit. I would advise to double check part numbers with Wilwood to see what you have. Here is a picture of my front setup for reference.

Actually worth noting that on a FWD car, Full size spare might be fine but you should never actually put a compact spare on a front corner, especially if you have to drive on it for any length of time. If you have a flat front, you should put the spare on a rear wheel and move the rear wheel to the front. The rear is lighter and not as highly loaded by the drive axles and brakes.
