I may be missing something above, but it feels like a cheap shot for the vendors to be so tight-lipped about whether their "upgraded" units are just OEM parts for a different application (as I believe we're going to find out).

IHMO, if the "upgraded" injectors are just OEM parts then the real work was done by the tuners who, again, IMHO, should feel free to announce to the world that these are OEM parts and sell an upgrade to their tunes to match these injectors to offset the cost of their engineering.

Engineering is costly. Vendors who soft-claim that they are engineering parts for our cars when, in fact, they're selling stock parts meant for other applications or are buying their competitors' parts just to copy them and source cheaper manufactures aren't adding to our community. In fact, they are discouraging other vendors who are able to engineer parts for our cars to do so as they will just be copied and sold at a lower price-point. Yes, two different complaints, but they feel of the same ilk to me.

If the work and expense that @Old Mike Emerson has undertaken proves that we can save $100's by buying these parts from normal channels rather than deceptively-labeled yet identical parts from opportunistic vendors then I, for one, am buying him a coupon for a pizza and may try to figure out how to send him a case of beer, as it's well-deserved.
I don't drink but I love me some good pizza! The thing is I come from a time when there was no internet, you had to tramp through junk yards and know what you were looking at, or talk to people face to face running the same type of set up you are to find out what they did to make their car faster. I've been modding for to many years to take a venders word for a claim of an increase. I want to see track times, dyno numbers before and after, just saying this widget is 50% better, lets see the proof.

With the first injector test at 75psi the Jag injector was a 40% increase over stock, that is 10% better than the 30% injectors, which is good news for everyone.

RockAuto At $77.76 that makes a set total of $311 plus shipping.

There is also a +50% injector for our cars that nobody is talking about. I believe those can be ordered already from the man himself. No tuner has tuned on them yet afaik.

I’m excited about this! Massive thanks to you guys for doing this! Hopefully we can get the green light and start getting more power for way less!

Who is producing the 50% injectors? Pretty sure the seals went on my 30% ones. Just haven’t had the motivation to dig into it. Car isn’t my daily anymore so I’m not pressed for time.

I finally had a chance to modify a stock injector. The good news is they cut well, the steel is surprisingly soft. The bad news is the assembly is way off center (by machining standards) and there isn't an easy way to hold the injectors centered on my machine. So turning down that section accurately is going to be a challenge. If I had a bigger lathe that could fit the injector housing inside the spindle that would solve that issue but my lathe only fits 1" diameter. The other bad news is the seal isn't as simple as I thought and I'll probably have to remake the ones I made a few weeks ago. You can see in the photo below what I'm talking about. I have options for dealing with it so it's not the end of the world, just complicates things a bit.

I wouldn't be surprised if most of the seal failures we see are coming from the unmodified Jag injectors. Pumaspeed modifies the injector and puts a second seal on the shaft above the original seal. They claim that if you don't do this, you're only getting a small amount of seal engagement on the unmodified injectors. Would be awesome to get my hands on a modified Pumaspeed injector to see how exactly they modify them. Maybe one of our UK members can find an old one and cut the seal off to get some photos?

This is a stock, unmodified Fiesta injector with the seal removed:

I have access to a lathe with a 300mm spindle bore but I don’t think I’ll be able to clamp on something that small. [emoji1787]

Lol yea that's a little big, need someone with a large toolroom lathe/small engine lathe. Eventually I'll probably make some kind of jig I can hook up to my lathe to hold the injector properly, unless I can find a bigger lathe I can use. I bet I could find one at a local maker space or my old CNC school. Lots of non-Fiesta things on my plate right now though so it'll be a slow process.
