I’m curious how one snaps off BOTH bolts. Is it the case of “nah, can’t be” or were you expecting a different outcome when you went all in on the second one as well?
I have a first hand example of a fellow who broke TWO plastic pipe cutters because rather than running the blade around the pipe, he went at it like an ape and tried to slice it off by torquing the blade adjustment screw. Somehow when he broke the first one, it didn’t occur to him that perhaps he needed to stop and reassess the situation. “More power”, apparently, was the answer. We mounted these in a shadow box and it is now a trophy for the “Smartest Person of the Month”.
