Driving my car today when I noticed the wrench light came on, checked my AP and found out it was P0504 which is a brake switch related component.
Had a friend stand behind my car and let me know if the brake lights come on.
Essentially if I brake less than roughly 15% the brakes work fine but the brake lights don't come on.
More than 15% and the brake lights do come on every time so it's not a serious safety issue IMO.
Will bring it in to a dealer when I have the time but curious if anyone has also encountered this issue.
I think there may be a damaged/bent pin somewhere in the brake switch because when the light comes on there is noticeably more resistance in the pedal.
Also anyone think dealer will hassle me for having a wilwood bbk? Doesn't make sense that a caliper can damage a brake pedal switch but still...
