My CFO (aka my partner) has checked my math and called me out on raising the price being unfair, so I'll hold the $375 price for any additional sets. However, I will only be ordering either 10, or as many additional sets as I have invoice that I'll have sent out by tomorrow morning (sorry weekend folks getting quoted the exact number of additional sets for tomorrow, as I got the kibosh put on for ordering a couple of extras just in case someone misses the window)

I want to apologize to everyone for jerking around and changing dates and prices. Also to the mods because I still haven't figured out or gotten a response on how to properly handle this as a FS or GB post and what forum rules this falls under. This order snowballed from mild interest a month ago to "figure it out urgently!!"

After Friday morning, that will be the end of this order. If more people are interested, I can collect names, and if I get 10 additional folks with money in hand, I may consider kicking off another order at some point in a more "group buy" style, but I'll have to set the price at $450, because the margin came out a lot slimmer than I was expecting once the total cost is rolled up and I also didn't raise the price after including the ARPs (oops). Or maybe figure out if its possible to get @ron@whoosh involved, as he's got a platform and much more experience with this kind of thing

No apologies needed and definitely don’t let us hustle you along. It’s not like you’re getting rich on these and you did literally all of the leg work.

The 10 sets are now claimed, I’ll be finalizing the quantity with the machine shop by 12pm (pacific) today to keep the delivery on time.

If you’d like to get in on the order and recieve an invoice, I need to know by then (Name, Email/PayPal info and shipping address for the invoice) via PM

FYI order is now closed and I’m giving the go-ahead to the machine shop.

If you missed out and would like to be on a wait list in the event that I look at making another batch, let me know

Just a small update. Will post once I have an update from the shop on delivery

I’ll be working on some installation instructions as I have time in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, before you rush out and buy parts, these are the correct part numbers for the Boxster “non-S” calipers. Check before you buy as occasionally they’ll be advertised as the wrong type on eBay

The “Porsche” part numbers and Brembo part numbers are embossed in the castings as shown in the photo.

Porsche 986.351.421 (Brembo 20.6672.03)
Porsche 986.351.422 (Brembo 20.6672.04)

Incorrect part numbers are very close, so check carefully, ideally in photos of whatever you are buying.

- Incorrect “S” front calipers carry very similar “996” part numbers (996.351.425/426) Boxster S are painted red, but the base 911 uses the same caliper which are grey, Brembo part contains “7069”

- Incorrect non-S Rear calipers end in “423” and “424” (986.351.423/424). Casting numbers are also usually on the underside of the caliper and also carry “6679” Brembo part numbers

- Incorrect “rear” calipers from 986 Boxster S and 996 911’s have very similar numbers beginning in “996” instead of “986” and Brembo numbers containing “6679” (996.351.421/422) and can be red or grey. These maybe actually the same as the non-S rear calipers, but are still wrong

You can find any old seal kit out there, but some “recommended” ones are:

Girodisc ($56 for one caliper) https://girodisc.com/caliper-rebuild-kit-for-porsche-987-cayman-s-36mm-40mm/?

Racing Brake ($146 for the pair): https://racingbrake.com/search-results-page?q=bp-402

The racing brake kit also has a high temp dust seal option for a little extra, and the stainless pistons for a lot extra (which don’t allow the stock pad dampers to be used, so expect some extra pad noises/squeal if you leave them out)
