Attempted to install the Cobb RMM, but the bracket attached to the stock RMM wont come off.

How can I get it off? I've seen videos of people just hammering it off but I've had no luck and am slowly destroying the coating on it... Is there some sort of trick or technique to it?

It looks like it's press fit in. I have pretty limited tools.

Some folks take a large drill bit and touch the stock rmm to remove some metal that holds the bracket on(like counter sinking the bushing) or try a larger hammer and vise.

Finally got it off! Thanks for the input. I just ended up hammering the thing constantly since I was able to see it start to break free a bit. Videos make it look so much easier but they probably cut off the difficult parts...

I had the same problem with mine. The part in the video is probably brand new so it just pops right off lol.

You just gotta smack that ass, aka bracket, just like in the video. Hit it too soft, and it won't budge lol

I used a 2 jaw puller from Matco. I didnt want to screw the coating up at all. Took all of about 2 seconds.
